Write the delivery requirements first
List input type, required duration, aspect ratio, resolution, sound and any reference-image fidelity requirements. Confirm that the exact model version and your provider account support the needed combination before comparing style.
The site catalogue contains configured options. A catalogue entry is not proof of current model access. As of 20 October 2026, public generation and checkout are not open.
Use the perfume sample for its actual scope
The recorded Seedance 2.5 request used Chinese text, five seconds, 480p, 16:9, no generated audio and no draft mode. It returned a successful perfume clip and 48,437 completion tokens. That shows one concrete outcome under those settings.
It does not demonstrate that 2.5 is better than 2.0, that Fast completes sooner or that Mini has the lowest cost per usable clip. We have no matched outputs from those models and no timing benchmark.
Design a fair comparison before running it
Choose scenes that reflect the actual job. A product project may need a blank object, printed packaging and a reflective surface; another project may need a different set. Use the same brief and comparable output settings, and record cases where settings cannot be matched.
Record every attempt, model identifier, date, usage and actual invoice. Keep the original outputs. Do not select only attractive results after seeing them. The proposed test set has not been run on this site.
Judge results against an acceptance sheet
Review instruction adherence, subject consistency, unwanted text, motion continuity and delivery format. Separate a personal preference for a look from an error such as a changing label or distorted bottle.
If turnaround time matters, measure it consistently. If budget matters, include rejected attempts and report cost per accepted clip alongside the count of accepted and rejected outputs. A model name or a single public unit price cannot settle those questions.
Questions a model list cannot answer
Which model is best? There is no measured winner in our current evidence. Start with the requirements, then compare relevant outputs when access and budget are confirmed.
Does the one successful clip validate image-to-video or sound? No. Neither was used in that request. Each requires its own test and acceptance criteria.
When should the choice be revisited? When the delivery brief, model version, account access or price changes. Keep the evidence dated so that an old result does not become an unsupported current promise.
Method & sources
An editorial decision framework, informed by official API and pricing documentation. One 5-second 480p Seedance 2.5 text-to-video sample exists, but no cross-model, speed, audio or resolution comparison has been performed.
