PRODUCT WORKFLOW

Turn a Product Photo into a Video Ad — Workflow

To plan a product-photo video, start with one clear reference image, one useful movement and a checklist for shape, labels and materials. This is an editorial workflow awaiting image-to-video validation; our published perfume clip was generated from text.

Separate a visual concept from product evidence

The published perfume sample contains a generic bottle described in words. It is useful for discussing composition and lighting, but no source product photo was provided. It cannot demonstrate that Seedance will retain a real bottle’s dimensions, label, cap or distinctive details.

For a photo-based project, define which features must match the uploaded reference before generating. A video that looks attractive but changes the package may not meet the brief.

Prepare the reference and a short shot plan

Choose an image with one clear product, readable packaging and room around the edges. Record whether the background may change. Use material you have permission to process, and keep an untouched copy for comparison.

A six-second planning template could establish the product, reveal one feature and settle into a clean final composition. This is a storyboard idea, not a measured timing capability. Start with a continuous shot and add precise marketing text in editing after generation.

An untested motion prompt to adapt

The template below assumes that a product image is actually attached. It has not been submitted or validated here. Stating “preserve the label” gives the reviewer a criterion; it does not guarantee the output.

Use the uploaded bottle as the product reference. A slow, subtle camera move reveals the curved glass. Soft side lighting, restrained reflections and a clean dark background. Keep the original bottle proportions, cap shape, label position and printed text. Do not add objects or lettering.

A practical acceptance checklist

Identity: compare the silhouette, neck, cap and liquid level against the source. Text: inspect the label spelling, spacing, position and apparent attachment to the surface. Materials: check that glass, metal or paper does not turn into a different finish.

Continuity: compare first, middle and last frames, then watch the entire clip for changes between them. Check that the camera move reveals the intended feature and that the product does not drift, bend or become obscured. Keep rejected results and the reason for rejection.

Delivery: check the actual file dimensions, duration, audio tracks and any required identification marks. Approve the clip against the original brief before making more versions. This checklist is our proposed review procedure, not a claim that the photo workflow has already passed it.

Questions before a first image test

Can the perfume prompt be reused with a photo? Its lighting and composition ideas can be adapted, but a photo changes the task. The text-only result is not evidence for reference-image fidelity.

Does a successful task mean the product is accurate? No. Task completion and creative acceptance are separate. Check the output against the source image before using it.

How should the test be budgeted? Record every attempt and its cost, including completed clips that you reject. Public generation and checkout remain closed as of 20 October 2026; this guide does not announce image-mode availability.

Method & sources

Original planning and review checklist. No product-photo generation was performed for this article. The 20 October 2026 perfume sample is text-to-video and cannot validate image fidelity, logo retention or product-identity preservation.
