Choose text-to-video or upload a first-frame image, describe the action and camera movement, select your settings, check the credit quote and generate. You need a verified account and enough credits to submit.
Choose your starting point
Open text-to-video to create a scene from words. Open image-to-video when you want the video to begin from your image.
Single-image reference is a separate mode: use it to guide the scene rather than require that image as the opening frame.
Write one shot
Describe the subject, its action, the setting and one camera movement. Give actions a clear order: a skater bends, accelerates and turns.
Separate subject movement from camera movement. A moving camera alone does not make the subject act. Keep your first prompt focused on one scene.
Prompts and real video examplesSet the format
Choose Seedance 2.5, a duration from 4–30 seconds and 480p, 720p or 1080p. Turn audio on only when you want it.
Choose an aspect ratio for text or image-reference video. First-frame image-to-video uses an adaptive ratio based on your image; crop the source beforehand if you need a different composition.

Review and download
Check progress in your creations. Wait for the current job before submitting the same request again.
Play the finished clip and check the action, camera path and visual details. Download the MP4 when satisfied. Save the prompt and settings so you can change one thing at a time.
Animate a single image
Upload one JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, with dimensions between 300 and 6000 pixels. Choose an image with a clear subject and room for the intended movement.
Describe what changes over time instead of repeating everything already visible. Start with one action and one camera instruction. Adapt the template below to your image.
English image-to-video template
Replace the bracketed parts to match your image, then review the generated result before sharing.
Use the uploaded image as the opening frame. [Subject] [one clear action, with a beginning and an end]. The camera [one movement or a fixed position]. [One environmental movement, if needed]. Keep the image’s visual style and lighting. Show one continuous shot.Animate an imageCommon questions
Do I need an image?
No. Text-to-video creates a scene from your description. Use image-to-video when a particular starting image matters.
Why does the video have little movement?
Check whether your prompt specifies an action, rather than only a visual style or a slow camera move. Use concrete verbs and a short action sequence. Results still vary.
Is generation free?
Generation uses credits. Check your account balance and the current quote before submitting.
