Separate Draft, resolution and a new final task
A 480p result is not automatically a draft. Resolution selects the output tier; Draft is a separate switch. In this workspace, Draft requires Seedance 2.5 and 480p. The supported duration range is 4–30 seconds, and image or reference requests still use one image each.
SuperSeedance does not currently offer a draft-to-final upgrade or a control that passes a previous draft task into a final generation. Reusing a prompt or settings starts a new request. A new result can differ in action, timing and composition.
| Operation | Here in SuperSeedance | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Regular 480p trial | 480p, Draft off | An ordinary low-resolution generation. |
| Draft trial | Seedance 2.5, 480p, Draft on | A separate generation setting; not a discounted studio quote. |
| Higher-resolution version | New 720p or 1080p task, Draft off | A new paid generation; not an upgrade of the existing file. |
| Inherit a previous draft task | Not available | There is no draft-ID continuation or conversion step in this workspace. |
Compare the actual studio quotes
The table uses the site’s quote calculation. These are SuperSeedance selling prices in credits, not an upstream provider invoice or a competitor’s price. USD estimates use US$0.01 per credit before applicable tax.
For this five-second example, enabling Draft does not reduce the quote. Changing duration, resolution or aspect ratio can change it. Seedance 2.5 image mode follows the image ratio and uses the adaptive quote, so do not reuse this text-to-video example as its price.
| Task | Resolution | Draft | Credits | USD estimate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regular low-resolution trial | 480p | Off | 83 | $0.83 |
| Draft | 480p | On | 83 | $0.83 |
| New 720p task | 720p | Off | 187 | $1.87 |
| New 1080p task | 1080p | Off | 462 | $4.62 |
Give the trial one question to answer
A trial is useful when you are still choosing the shot: does the subject reach the destination, does the camera show the whole move, or is the ending suitable for a cut? Write the acceptance check before submitting. A lower-resolution view cannot settle whether small lettering, fine texture or an HD delivery file will be acceptable.
If the shot is already clear and you only need the delivery resolution, adding a preliminary task adds cost. This guide does not claim Draft is faster, more reliable or visually equivalent to a later result; those would require controlled generated comparisons.
| Question | Useful next step |
|---|---|
| Is the movement readable? | Plan one 480p trial and watch the complete action. |
| Is Draft better for this particular shot? | Budget a matched Draft-on/off pair; change only that switch. Results may still vary. |
| Will a logo or fine detail survive at delivery quality? | Check the intended resolution; a 480p pass is not an HD quality test. |
| Can I avoid another generation? | First inspect whether trimming or external editing can use the existing clip. |
Count the trial and the later task together
These plans assume every listed task completes and consumes its quoted credits. They are arithmetic examples, not observed savings. Adding one or two trials costs more than one final-resolution attempt unless those trials actually prevent other work; we have not measured such a reduction.
Set a maximum number of attempts and a total credit budget. A completed clip that misses your creative brief still consumes credits. Confirmed failed or successfully cancelled tasks return reserved credits; a task still running or awaiting review has not been confirmed failed.
| Plan | Calculation | Planned total credits |
|---|---|---|
| One new 1080p task only | 462 | 462 |
| One 480p trial, then one new 1080p task | 83 + 462 | 545 |
| Two 480p trials, then one new 1080p task | 2 × 83 + 462 | 628 |
Set up a small, readable comparison
Select Seedance 2.5, 480p and a supported duration, then explicitly enable Draft. The setup link below fills a five-second, 16:9 text request with audio off; opening it does not submit a generation. Check the actual settings and current quote before generating.
For a matched comparison, reuse the exact prompt, model, duration, ratio, audio setting and input image if used. Change only Draft. Record both task IDs and quotes. Generation varies between runs, so one pair cannot establish a general success rate.
The workspace requires a verified account, sufficient existing credits and live availability. Public purchases were not available at the October 28 check; an estimated price is not a promise that a new account can buy credits or submit immediately.

This untested template gives the ball a route and a visible stopping place. Judge whether the complete roll is visible, the ball remains round and the tray stays in place. Do not add a camera move while comparing the Draft setting.
One continuous five-second shot. A small orange wooden ball rolls from the left side of a pale blue tabletop toward a clearly visible shallow circular tray on the right, then comes to rest inside the tray. Fixed side-view camera, wide enough to show the whole route and the tray. Soft daylight, simple uncluttered background. Keep the ball round and the tray stationary. No cuts, no camera movement, no on-screen lettering. After a useful trial, plan a new request
Keep the usable clip and its prompt. If you need 720p or 1080p, switch Draft off, select the new resolution and check the new quote. Reattach your image when necessary. Submit only when the new request fits the remaining budget.
The previous task is not inherited. Review the new video from beginning to end instead of assuming the earlier movement survived. Exporting an existing 480p file on a larger canvas in an editor does not recreate native higher-resolution detail.

Stop when the planned question is answered, the budget is reached, or you cannot identify a single useful change. Keep this short record beside the downloaded result.

Is Seedance Draft cheaper in SuperSeedance?+
Not at the same current settings. Draft on and off have the same studio credit quote at 480p. A shorter or lower-resolution request may cost less than another configuration, but that is not a Draft discount.
Is Draft enabled by default?+
No. Draft is off by default. Enable it explicitly with Seedance 2.5 at 480p and check the settings before submitting.
Can I upgrade a draft to 1080p while preserving its motion?+
This workspace does not support draft-to-final inheritance. A 1080p request is a new paid generation with Draft off, and its motion can differ.
Can Draft use an image?+
The current controls allow Seedance 2.5 at 480p with text, one starting image or one reference image. First-frame mode follows the image ratio. Check the current quote and availability for that exact combination.
Does this guide prove Draft is faster or saves money?+
No. The credit table comes from the site’s quote calculation. The prompt is untested, and no paid comparison or measured savings experiment was run for this guide.
Does switching resolution change a video I already generated?+
No. It changes settings for a new request. The existing video remains unchanged.
